They are creeped out. Not to be entirely off-topic, but each time there is a large tragedy of the scale seen this morning, They soon have an interaction with the qatsi trilogy (by Godfrey Reggio and Philip Glass).
1. Shortly after the Challenger disaster, they saw, for the first time, Koyaanisqatsi (on PBS).
2. Shortly after the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks, they spent the better part of a week seeing the first two films of the trilogy (and three other nights) performed live.
3. Either this week (in Dallas) or next week (in Houston), they intend to see Naqoyqatsi.
If there is any silver lining to this, they think that this is the only circumstance under which they would be glad to see the end of the trilogy.
And, of course, their thoughts are with the family, friends, and co-workers of the victims of this tragedy.
