They are disappointed with you.

The statistics they read here are abysmal.

Money quote:

1/3 of high school graduates never read another book for the rest of their lives.

42 percent of college graduates never read another book after college.

80 percent of U.S. families did not buy or read a book last year.

70 percent of U.S. adults have not been in a bookstore in the last five years.

They presume that the survey(s?) involved were in the USA. America, they are very disappointed in you.

In many ways, this ties into a nice chart they saw about the relationship between IQ and other factors,  which leads to a question they have:  how many “average voter” types recognize any of these quotes?
